Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the ProSwitcher app. By installing or using it you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to be impressive.
What ProSwitcher is
ProSwitcher is an independent app that controls Blackmagic ATEM video switchers over your own local network. It is not made by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blackmagic Design. It works with hardware you already own, and it does not include or require any software from Blackmagic Design.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use ProSwitcher on devices you own or control, through the app store account you obtained it with. You may not resell it, rent it out, or redistribute it.
Everything in the app stays our property. Buying Pro buys a licence to use the app, not ownership of it.
ProSwitcher Pro
Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Once bought, it stays unlocked on your store account, including on new devices you sign into with that account, and it keeps working with no internet connection.
A purchase made on Google Play cannot unlock the app on the App Store, or the other way around — the two stores cannot share a purchase. If you have bought on one platform and moved to the other, email us with your receipt and we will sort it out.
Features described as "coming soon" are our current intention, not a promise or a condition of sale. Buy Pro for what it does today.
Trials and Service Mode
The 14-day trial unlocks every Pro feature once, per install. It starts when you start it, needs no payment details, and does not renew into anything.
Service Mode is a one-tap 24-hour full-feature grace, available once every 30 days, for the case where you are on an isolated network and cannot reach the store. It exists so a network problem never costs you a show. It is not an alternative way to obtain Pro.
Payments and refunds
All purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or hold your payment details. Refunds are governed by the store's own policy, and are requested through the store, not through us. If a store refunds a purchase, the corresponding access may end.
Using it on a live production
Please read this part properly, because it is the one that matters.
ProSwitcher is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Live production carries real risk. Networks drop, devices fail, batteries die, and software has bugs. You are responsible for deciding whether this app is appropriate for any given production, and for having a fallback — the switcher's own panel or software — available.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost recordings, missed broadcasts, lost revenue or reputational harm, arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Some countries do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of the above may not apply to you. Nothing here affects consumer rights you have by law.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to circumvent the licence, redistribute modified versions, or use the app to interfere with equipment you do not have permission to operate.
Changes and ending
We may update the app and these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date. If you no longer agree, uninstall the app. We may end this licence if these terms are breached.
Third-party software
ProSwitcher includes open-source components, and its switcher protocol implementation was written from MIT-licensed references. The required notices ship inside the app, under Settings → About & licences.
